A medida foi oficializada por meio do Decreto n\u00ba 402. Anteriormente, a gratuidade estava prevista at\u00e9 31 de dezembro deste ano.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"642\">Segundo o prefeito Airton Souza, a decis\u00e3o considera o transporte p\u00fablico como um servi\u00e7o essencial.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"352\" data-end=\"642\">\u201cDecidimos ampliar o per\u00edodo do Passe Livre. A gratuidade na passagem trouxe mais mobilidade urbana e auxilia na retomada econ\u00f4mica e social dos canoenses ap\u00f3s a enchente de 2024\u201d, afirmou.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"644\" data-end=\"1019\">Implantado em 2024, o programa j\u00e1 contabiliza mais de 14,5 milh\u00f5es de passageiros transportados entre janeiro e novembro de 2025. Somente no m\u00eas de novembro, cerca de 1,5 milh\u00e3o de usu\u00e1rios utilizaram o sistema de transporte coletivo de forma gratuita. Canoas \u00e9 atualmente a maior cidade do Brasil, em n\u00famero de habitantes, a oferecer transporte p\u00fablico gratuito.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1399\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">O secret\u00e1rio de Mobilidade Urbana, Thiago Moyses, destacou a import\u00e2ncia da continuidade da pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1399\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\u201cA tarifa zero garante o acesso a outros direitos da popula\u00e7\u00e3o, como sa\u00fade, educa\u00e7\u00e3o e trabalho, al\u00e9m de movimentar o com\u00e9rcio. Sem a gratuidade, o custo seria alto para o usu\u00e1rio.
