Foto: PMC.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Durante o dia, a avenida 17 de abril \u00e9 a mais movimentada, local onde o com\u00e9rcio se concentra massivamente. Mas isso n\u00e3o muda durante a noite.<br \/>\nCom vida noturna mais ativa at\u00e9 mesmo do que o centro da cidade, o Guajuviras busca se livrar agora de r\u00f3tulos como o da falta de seguran\u00e7a e de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o irregular.<\/p>\n<h3>Uma ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h3>\n<p>Por Conjunto Habitacional Ildo Meneghetti ningu\u00e9m o conhece. Guajuviras \u00e9 o nome oficial da ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o que come\u00e7ou em 17 de abril de 1987 &#8211; data homenageada pela avenida.<br \/>\nOriginalmente, o bairro possu\u00eda 5.974 unidades habitacionais. Pr\u00e9dios no local, construidos h\u00e1 anos, j\u00e1 registravam o crescimento de vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o no interior daquilo que nem servia mais como moradia.<br \/>\nCarlos Loureno Giacomazzi era o Prefeito, que tomou posse em 1986. Uma vida digna, uma infraestrutura m\u00ednima e a autentifica\u00e7\u00e3o desta \u00e1rea foram fatores constru\u00eddos entre vizinhos, com uma hist\u00f3ria de luta que at\u00e9 o presente conta a hist\u00f3ria da cidade.<br \/>\n&#8220;Guajuviras terra da gente&#8221;, dizia uma faixa na ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o. &#8220;Casa ocupada&#8221;, dizia outra. E assim se construiu a hist\u00f3ria do maior bairro canoense com forte presen\u00e7a de mercados, igrejas, r\u00e1dios comunit\u00e1rias e a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade civil.<\/p>\n<h3>A Guajuviras atual<\/h3>\n<p>Ainda tem espa\u00e7o na sociedade o r\u00f3tulo de bairro violento. Por\u00e9m, o Guajuviras tem avan\u00e7ado quanto a isso. Muito se d\u00e1 em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da maior presen\u00e7a do Estado no recrutamento de jovens para atividades sociais e esportivas.<br \/>\nCom a volta da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o social no bairro, tudo leva a crer, por sua hist\u00f3ria, que o Gujuviras vencer\u00e1 mais essa luta.
