Na tarde do s\u00e1bado, 5, a Marcha para Jesus foi aberta pelo prefeito municipal Jairo Jorge (PT). No centro, Jairo entregou a “Chave da Cidade” ao presidente do Conselho dos Pastores de Canoas (Copac), pastor Jo\u00e3o Fl\u00e1vio Veleda da Silva. “Se o Senhor n\u00e3o guardar a cidade, em v\u00e3o vigiar a sentinela”. Citou o chefe do Executivo na abertura, onde pediu a uni\u00e3o de todos os crist\u00e3os por \u201cem torno de valores positivos\u201d.<\/p>\n

O evento mobilizou cerca de 6.500 pessoas, segundo a Prefeitura Municipal de Canoas. A abertura contou com apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es art\u00edsticas de grupos de m\u00fasica e de dan\u00e7a gospel, seguida da manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o de autoridades.<\/p>\n

A Marcha \u00e9 uma realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do Conselho dos Pastores de Canoas, como apoio da Prefeitura, por meio da Coordenadoria Municipal de Integra\u00e7\u00e3o Institucional. “Esse \u00e9 um evento de unidade do povo Crist\u00e3o. Essa ampla participa\u00e7\u00e3o representa a liberdade religiosa que o governo municipal tem facilitado. Momentos como esse, possibilitam que as pessoas expressem o que pensam, sentem e acreditam”, explica o secret\u00e1rio Luiz Possebon, titular da Coordenadoria de Integra\u00e7\u00e3o Institucional do Munic\u00edpio.<\/p>\n

Cerca de 50 motoqueiros do grupo \u00c1guias de Cristo seguia \u00e0 frente do caminh\u00e3o de som. A marcha percorreu tamb\u00e9m as ruas Domingos Martins e Victor Barreto. Acompanharam a caminhada o prefeito Jairo Jorge, a vice prefeita, Beth Colombo, o secret\u00e1rio Luiz Possebon, o pastor Jo\u00e3o Fl\u00e1vio, entre outras lideran\u00e7as pol\u00edticas, religiosas e civis. A Marcha para Jesus faz parte do calend\u00e1rio oficial da cidade desde 2011, trazendo, mais um vez, o tema da fam\u00edlia.<\/p>\n
